At about 1 a.m. Thursday, Als Inside/Out learned Montreal has signed free-agent linebacker Rod Davis from the Edmonton Eskimos.
Davis, an import from Gulfport, Miss., is 6-foot-2 and 240 pounds. He spent the last three seasons with the Eskimos.
