Johnson forecasts October return

It would not figure that a player whose weight is somewhere south of 165 pounds could cause so much havoc by falling on himself.
But Kierrie Johnson sure did on the weekend, and as he relayed the details on the play which caused him to have forearm surgery Monday, he also said estimates on his return range a little more north than the 6-8 week range originally forecast.
“Hopefully ill be back by October,” Johnson said after watching his first practice Tuesday in quite some time.
As expected, Nick Moore had Johnson’s spot with the first unit but Mike Benevides said the job of filling Johnson’s shoes will be done by committee. It wasn’t done by Geroy Simon on Tuesday at least, but the slotback said he did some early morning catching and will take a regular turn Wednesday.
