The Saskatchewan Roughriders have yet to announce the signings of any of their four selections in the 2012 CFL draft, but it’s believed that three of the players will be under contract by the time rookie camp starts Thursday.

Nothing had been finalized as of Tuesday, but all signs point to Saskatchewan Huskies offensive lineman Ben Heenan (first overall), Calgary Dinos linebacker Sam Hurl (12th) and Sherbrooke Vert et Or linebacker Kevin Regimbald-Gagne (35th) being under contract and on the field for the first practice Thursday. Significant progress apparently has been made in negotiations with all three.

However, talks with Sherbrooke receiver Ismael Bamba (39th) apparently have stalled. His agent previously told the Roughriders that Bamba was going to return to school next fall instead of playing in the CFL — likely in hopes of getting an opportunity in the NFL in the future. However, Bamba’s CFL rights will remain with the Roughriders regardless of whether he reports this season.
